The Wall of Girls - Rejects

I have a hard time giving up CDs once I've purchased them. It's like admitting I was wrong, so even if I just don't like something I've bought, I'll keep giving it another listen, hoping to grok it. Here are the ones I finally gave up on.

I finally started keeping track one day. But much more interesting is what I still have.

    It was $5 at CD Baby and sounded interesting, but it really didn't work for me - it feels forced and hokey. And I really wish she wouldn't try to sing in French.

  • World Falling Down
    I like his voice - and I still like "Solitude/Solitaire" enough to hang onto it - but this one was just too smooth to be interesting.

  OK, I liked her when I was, like, 17, y'know?
  • Into the Light
    Tolerable sugar pop.
  • Mi Tierra
    Interesting fusion-y thing going on, but not interesting enough.
• Galás, Diamanda
  • Plague Mass
    I respect her. I really, really do. But I will never listen to this. Seriously.
• King Missile
  • Happy Hour
    OK, i remembered the 'Detachable Penis' song from when i was at Uni, but i don't actually like anything else on here.
• Vangelis
  • Chariots of Fire
    I liked that song everyone knows from this when I was first buying CDs. Sadly, this soundtrack is boring, boring boring. Happily, it led me to his more interesting work. But it's time to let go.

    I dunno, this just didn't seem good without the film to go with it.
  • South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut
    It's damned funny, but it's not worth owning in CD form. And who knew the tracks than weren't from the movie would be so awful? Actually I should have guessed.
