Nori Wrapped Tofu Fries

These look like heftier versions of certain rice crackers. Or maybe like little blocky fish.

I don't have measurements for this yet but will add some when i try it again...


Ingredients:


Combine flour, liquid and chili sauce to form a thick paste.

Slice tofu into flat rectangles about 2 1/2" x 1" x 1/8". Fold and cut nori sheets into nine equal pieces each, so that you have one piece of nori for each piece of tofu.

Coat each piece of tofu in the paste, then wrap a piece of nori around it so that the middle of the tofu is covered but both ends stick out from under the nori. Wet the nori slightly to make it stick.

Place the wrapped tofu in the refrigerator for a while until the paste sets somewhat.

Fry each piece in a generous amount of oil for a few minutes on each side, until well browned and slightly puffy.
